Complete Coach Information For Coach Conway

Joe Conway

Head Coach - Girls 15-2 Regional

Joe has been passionate about playing volleyball since the dark ages of the early 1980s, when he played outside hitter and middle blocker in college. Coach Joe began his coaching career at BRYC 8 years ago. Since then, Joe has coached middle school and high school volleyball teams in recreation, club and high school programs, most recently as the Head Coach of the 2011/2012 NVVA ICE 16-2 Team, Head Coach of the W. T. Woodson JV team, and Assistant Coach of the back-to-back Patriot District Champion W. T. Woodson Varsity team in 2012. Joe is USAV IMPACT and CAP I certified, and Gold Medal Square trained.

His coaching philosophy is to develop in players a lifelong passion for volleyball, by modeling and teaching advanced individual skills and team dynamics; to instill in them the value of hard work, competition, integrity, loyalty, self-control, trust, communication, and mutual respect; and to provide them with opportunities to pursue excellence, set and achieve personal goals, take risks, be responsible for their choices, and win and lose graciously. He loves teaching the game and is thrilled to be coaching the 16 National team this season.

Joe has been married to Lois for 26 years, and is the proud father of Jon, Becky, and Rachel. When not coaching or watching his two daughters play volleyball, Joe is a partner at FedCentric Technologies, LLC, a hardware and software systems integrator.
